    FG welcomes Home Defence Bill, but says delays are unacceptable

    Fine Gael Justice Spokesman, Alan Shatter TD, has welcomed the publication today (Monday) by the Minister for Justice of the Criminal Law (Defence and Dwelling Bill) 2010.

    However, Deputy Shatter said it is regrettable that Fianna Fáil delayed publication of this Bill until after the commencement of the summer recess and that, as a consequence, it has no prospect of becoming law until late autumn.
